I was in my 40s, I had a successful corporate London business, travelled, a lovely home, family, and friends, and Ralphie, a pooch I adored who looked like a polar bear. The outside looked perfect, but inside I was in turmoil.
The loss of my dad, haunting memories of an abusive marriage, hypervigilant, panic attacks and insomnia. My outside life didn’t reflect my inside life, I battled with my mental health, my body was in a constant state of overwhelm, swinging from anxiety to depression, my hormones felt they had a mind of their own and I had a deep-rooted feeling there had to be more to life than this, I knew my body was asking me to slow down and heal and I realised happiness could only come from within.
I embraced therapy, acupuncture, yoga, nutrition, and meditation to name but a few but I could access what was inside. I booked a Breathwork class, curious but unsure what to expect. That day changed my life. I lay on a mat and was asked to actively breathe into my belly and passively exhale in a continuous cycle. After 30 minutes I started to cry, grief, sadness, and pain washed over me that I didn’t know was in me, and I felt an incredible release. A heavy weight in my heart lifted, and I felt something inside shift. I had never experienced anything like it and I instantly knew I had found something special.
Gripped, I knew I had found my answer to heal myself and over two immersive years of study I trained with experts in the field of breathwork. I studied the works of Patrick McKeown, founder of Oxygen Advantage, who specialises in functional and performance-focused breathing methods. This helped me to understand the value of how we breathe day-to-day, during sleep, and to perform better at work and in life. I trained with Buteyko Clinic International, to learn the teaching of Dr. Buteyko, a breathing method to support respiratory conditions, anxiety, and sleep, which I was drawn to being an asthmatic since a little girl. However, it wasn’t until I trained with Benedict Beaumont the Founder of Breathing School, a Global Breathwork that I was able to make peace with the demons from my past, heal the relationship I had with myself, and reclaim my power to be the best version of myself on the inside – all through my breath.
That is what amazes me the most, we all have this power within to heal ourselves at every level of our mental, physical, and emotional selves, using the magic of our own breath. It’s my passion to empower you to access this gift so you may live the life you desire.

As a casual runner, I never realized the impact breathwork and the Oxygen Advantage technique could have on my performance. Since incorporating these practices, my runs have reached a whole new level. I can now sustain a steady pace for longer distances, thanks to improved endurance. The guided exercises have become an essential part of my warm-up routine, helping me optimize my breathing from the very start. I've noticed a significant reduction in fatigue and post-run recovery time. Breathwork has truly transformed my running experience, and I can't wait to see where it takes me next!Ben, Brighton
I cannot express how grateful I am for discovering breathwork as a tool to navigate through the challenges of menopause. The hot flashes, mood swings, and sleep disturbances were taking a toll on my quality of life. Incorporating breathwork into my daily routine has been nothing short of transformative. The guided exercises provided me with a sense of control and calmness, helping me manage the intensity of my symptoms. Not only did it alleviate my physical discomfort, but it also brought a sense of mental clarity and emotional balance. I wholeheartedly recommend breathwork to any woman going through this significant life transition. It truly has been a breath of relief during menopause.Sara, Brighton
I was feeling all over the place with anxiety, forgetfulness, intense hot flushes, sweating, and exhaustion. It was like my emotions were on a rollercoaster and I didn't recognize myself. Finding breathwork has been amazing as it helps me: Feel Calm and Stable: The breathing exercises are my new go-to for feeling grounded and peaceful. Gentler Hot Flushes: Breathing slowly and softly has made these waves of heat more bearable. Anxiety Relief: I love my extended exhale breathing exercises to calm me quickly. Better Sleep: I love the breathing exercises and meditation before sleep, I fall asleep a lot quicker and feel like I have rested when I wake up. Self-Empowered: I've learned how to help myself feel better and it feels amazing. Breathwork has been a lifeline, giving me tools for relief and confidence. Highly recommend it! Abby, London
